PRIVATE DINNER EVENTS

We offer private dinner events in the Lost Creek Farm dining room and on our outdoor dining porch. Whether you’re booking a company dinner party, organizing a family gathering, or simply hoping to skip the process of buying Supper Club tickets, our private events might be just right for you! Like the Farm & Forage Supper Club, our private events are multi-course experiences featuring our favorite story-rich recipes made with ingredients harvested at Lost Creek Farm and other farms in our community.

Seating capacity varies with the seasons. From June through September, events are held on our outdoor dining porch with a capacity of 36 guests. During the colder months, from October through May, private events are held in the farmhouse dining room with a capacity of 24 guests. Events are priced at a flat base rate for 24 guests. Between June and September, additional guests may be added (up to 36 total) for $155/person plus tax and gratuity. No minimum group size is required, but we are unable to prorate prices for smaller groups. See below for specific details and menu options.

To get started, please read the information in the following sections and fill out the inquiry form below. After we receive your request, a member of our team will reach out regarding availability and next steps. Once we settle on a date, a $1,000 deposit (refundable up to 60 days prior to the event) is required to hold the date.

Private events are generally scheduled on Wednesdays or Thursdays, but other weekday evenings may also be available. We have no Friday or Saturday availability for private dinner events. Our private events begin either at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. –– your choice.

  • We offer two different culinary experiences for private events, which are outlined below. Specific menus are determined by our James Beard Award-nominated chefs, depending on seasonal ingredient availability.

    Private events are priced at a standard base fee for up to 24 guests. We are unable to prorate prices for smaller groups. Between June and September, additional guests (up to 36 total) may be added for $155/person plus tax and gratuity. 6% WV sales tax and 20% gratuity will be added to the base price.

    Between October and May, our capacity is 24 guests. Events are held in our farmhouse dining room during this time.

    Between June and September, our capacity is 36 guests. Events are typically held on our outdoor dining porch.

    Smaller Groups: No minimum number of guests is required, but we are unable to prorate base prices for smaller groups than the default party size.

    Both menu packages include a nonalcoholic welcome beverage, bread service, pickle selection, and gourmet coffee with dessert.

    Meal prices do not include alcohol.

    Deluxe Farm & Forage Experience
    Two passed snacks, a seasonal soup, a farm-fresh salad, two small-plate entrees, dessert
    This is the way to go if your group includes adventurous diners who want to experience our iconic Farm & Forage Supper Club offerings. Expect this experience to last around 3 hours.

    Standard Farm & Forage Experience
    Two passed snacks, a farm-fresh salad, one entree, dessert
    This is a great option if your group wants to experience Lost Creek Farm through fewer courses, in a shorter amount of time. Expect this experience to last around 2 hours.

    What’s on the menu, exactly?
    Because ingredient availability is unpredictable, we don’t know what’s on the menu, and we won't for a while. We are unable to share menus before the event, but if there’s something you really want to see on the menu (or something you really don’t), it doesn’t hurt to ask.

    Dietary Restrictions
    With advance notice and at our discretion, we are able to accommodate some dietary preferences and sensitivities. We can easily omit certain ingredients and can accommodate some menu substitutions (e.g. vegetarian, gluten free). We are unable to accommodate severe, life-threatening allergies. It will be your responsibility to disclose all dietary restrictions as soon as possible (and at least two weeks before your event date) so we can plan accordingly. We reserve the right to add a $50 charge for preparing for each special diet.

    Young Diners
    Our dinner events are intimate in nature, lengthy in time, and generally not suitable for young children. If some of your guests do bring young children (we know this may be necessary for some family events), please ensure this is understood and expected by others in your party. We are generally unable to offer special menus or reduced fees for young diners.

  • What if I don’t know how many people are in my party just yet?
    That’s okay! Numbers change, and we can adapt. Just let us know final numbers within two weeks of your event, and we’ll tally up the final total accordingly.

    How do I pay?
    A member of our team will arrange a private link for the payment of your deposit. We can collect payment for the final amount prior to your event, or at the time of service.

    If I cancel, is my deposit refundable?
    The deposit is refundable until 60 days prior to the event. After that time, deposits are not refundable, unless Lost Creek Farm must cancel for any reason.

    Will the event be held indoors or outdoors?
    Private events are generally held in the dining room of our historic farmhouse in the cooler months (October - May) and on our outdoor dining porch during the summer (June - September). A summertime event of 24 guests or fewer may be held inside the farmhouse, by request.
